« We booked this campsite as our daughter is a keen horse rider and wanted to do horse riding. We went the last week of August (which also happened to be the bank holiday in the UK) however were told that the English speaking horse instructor was on holiday so our daughter couldn't take part. She had a pretty miserable time, watching all the horses and not be able to ride them because she was English. Also, as it was the closing down week for the site, I received a text message saying that they were being extra strict with the cleaning for check-out. I thought this was a bit cheeky, why should we take time out of our holiday to do extra cleaning for the company? »

« The themed campsite is really amazing, it felt like being on the set of an old western movie or the the more recent Netflix series Yellowstone. There were national championships being held in the equestrian centre onsite during our stay and there were cowboys and cowgirls in full competition dress which was quite fascinating and created a buzz around the site. The horses being escorted trough the site in the morning and evening were beautiful thoroughbred animals and it really created quite a unique ambience that I haven't experienced at any other Yelloh campsite. The flip side of having this competition onsite and the wonderful thoroughbred horses on show is that there was no option for our 9yo daughter to partake in any horse-riding activity, which was the main reason for choosing this campsite. The waterslides in the swimming complex were excellent fun for adults and children alike. All slides finish in a shallow pool < 20cm deep so are perfectly safe for non-swimmers. The indoor pool/spa is housed in a spectacular large wooden structure that oozes class on the interior and the exterior fits so well with the western/cowboy theme. Plenty of sun loungers available too. However it was unfortunate that the slides were only open from 4pm (June '25) The nearby lake is within easy walking distance with further activities available. The water is shallow and warm, we hired a pedalo for an hour and even going out as far as we could i could still stand up with my head above water so there was a great sense of safety. There's a village with a decent supermarket and a few local shops nearby too which was a necessity as the onsite shop didn't open until our last day - possibly as the site employees were more focussed on the equestrian championships that were being held. »
